The most beautiful, most challenging, most fulfilling, and unique part of postpartum, I believe, is breastfeeding. It feels like one of the most intimate parts of motherhood—and on this Mother’s Day, it felt really close to my heart to talk about.

I am really grateful to God for giving me this wonderful experience and for making me a woman. This journey truly set my experience apart and made my path as a mother so special.

💛 A Gentle Reminder: Breastfeeding or not, you are doing great, mama.💛

(This is Part 1 of a short series on breastfeeding. Over the coming days, I’ll be sharing honest reflections on working mama realities, debunking common myths, and offering more gentle reminders.)

Motherhood already asks so much of us. In the middle of sleepless nights, physical healing, and simply getting to know your baby, feeding becomes yet another place where the world feels free to comment.

On Mother’s Day, I want to say this clearly: your love is not measured by a clock, a pump, or a social media milestone.

Breastfeeding, like anything else, comes with its own set of challenges. Society often judges you either way: if you aren’t breastfeeding, they see you differently; if you breastfeed for “too long,” they see you differently. Even if you make a personal choice not to breastfeed, the judgment remains.

But only a mother knows how intimate and critical this decision is for her. This is no place for society to suggest or judge—it should solely depend on the mother and the child.

As soon as we complete that nine-month journey of pregnancy and cross the difficult threshold of delivery, we are given no time to breathe. While still anxious and healing, we are suddenly onto this most challenging task of breastfeeding a little one who has barely opened their eyes to the world.

For some, it comes naturally; for others, it does not. Every pregnancy is unique, every delivery is unique, and every breastfeeding journey is unique. For first-time moms, this is often the most difficult “no-idea-how” task put on our plates before we have even fully recovered from exhaustion. While experts are available these days, many of us still face deeply personal, unknown challenges in this journey.

If breastfeeding is going beautifully for you, I’m so happy for you. If it’s hard, if it’s messy, if it didn’t happen the way you imagined—you’re still a great mom. No matter how your feeding journey looks today, you deserve kindness.

💛 One Last Reminder

Whether you are breastfeeding, formula feeding, pumping, or combo feeding—you are still showing up with love. And that is what counts.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mom—those breastfeeding, formula feeding, pumping, combo feeding, those trying, those healing, and those just figuring it out.

Breastfeeding or not, you are doing great, mama. ❤️
